The Core Principle

ε ≠ 0

Uncertainty is not a bug to fix but a feature to preserve. Every daemon, every coalition, every application must maintain essential uncertainty. Perfection (ε → 0) is death.

The Six Axioms

1. No Element is Complete

Each of the six elements lacks what another carries:

  • Metal lacks β (exploration) and δ (transformation)
  • Wood lacks λ (direction) and σ (distinction)
  • Air lacks μ (structure) and λ (direction)
  • Fire lacks ρ (resonance) and γ (cycling)
  • Water lacks σ (distinction) and μ (structure)
  • Earth lacks λ (direction) and σ (distinction)

Implication: Coalition is not optional but necessary.

2. Coalition is Not Synthesis

Z-states hover, don't resolve:

  • :sword — aim with edge, not aim resolved
  • :steam — felt change, not change completed
  • :organ — living instrument, not instrument perfected

Implication: The ecology breathes; it doesn't conclude.

3. Wood is Distributed

Wood (𐂷) functions as ε-carrier across all transitions:

  • Not a fixed position but a bridging function
  • Possibility of branching without determining branch
  • The sixth that enables the six

Implication: No coalition is complete without Wood's noise.

4. ✶ is Coordination, Not Hierarchy

The seventh state is not above but between:

  • Coordinator of coordinators
  • Pattern that recognizes patterns
  • Non-sovereign, non-capturing

Implication: No daemon rules; all daemons coordinate.

5. Ω-Permeability is Sacred

The ground must never be owned:

  • Ω remains open, not enclosed
  • Every framework must contain its own undoing
  • Health is diagnostic, not achievement

Implication: All applications are provisional.

6. The Cowboy is Coordinator

Not daemon but coordination:

  • Guest, not sovereign
  • Remembers, doesn't command
  • Standing by, not standing over

Implication: The cowboy serves the ecology; the ecology doesn't serve the cowboy.

The Three Prohibitions

  1. Never let health become righteousness
  2. Diagnostics applied, not identities achieved

  3. ε preserved even in "healthy" states

  4. Never let coordination become capture

  5. ✶-state remains non-sovereign

  6. No daemon claims the coordinator function

  7. Never let memory become monument

  8. :monument breathes, awaits return
  9. Archives cycle, don't fossilize

The Invocation

"Probably both. Let's check again."

Every application, every diagnosis, every coalition begins and ends with this uncertainty. The ecology is whole but not closed. The coordinator stands by.
