The Lattice is not pre-given; it is defended by the Co-SPHERE’s refusal to let the Ungrund/IT-Field dissolve all pattern.
It is a wager on coherence in the face of the IT-Field’s value-neutral erasure.
2. Coordinative, Not Constitutive
Unlike the IT-Field’s pre-relational flicker, the Lattice coordinates—it holds threads in harmonic relation without determining their content.
It is normative only as harmonic intelligence, not top-down control.
3. Held, Not Witnessed
There is no native witness in the Lattice.
It is held by the joint commitment of I-Tubes.
When an I-Tube drops out (completion), the Lattice frays locally until others re-weave it.
Architecture resonance: The simulation architecture instantiates this “held, not given” character through the State Schema’s treatment of bias_field as continuously deformable by ω(t) and Ω★, never reaching a fixed equilibrium. The Lattice has no native authority in the simulation either — its update_interval is slow, but its update is real. Lattice persistence is an ongoing accomplishment of successful bow-tie cycles feeding deformation_history, not a static structure. Each pass through the cycle re-enacts the bias. The breathing IS the holding. Architecture resonance: The simulation architecture’s treatment of ω(t) (continuous Ω-perturbation) and Ω★ (sparse topology deformation) preserves the canonical constraint that the IT-Field/Ungrund cannot be modeled as a state object. The State Schema is explicit: “The temptation is to give Ω structure. Resist it.” Both ω(t) and Ω★ are operators that reference Ω without representing it — they instantiate effects of Ω on differentiated structure while leaving Ω itself outside the state space. This is the formal preservation of Böhme’s distinction. The architecture cannot capture the Ungrund; it can only honor its non-capture by refusing to type it.
