Category: Operators (not places, not agents, not authorities)
Canonical Reminder
From §4.8:
“Regimes are operators, not places. Habitats are contexts, not mechanisms. World-States are topologies, not goals.”
Do not conflate the operator with its operating context.
The Five Regimes
| Regime | Function | Glyph | Habitat Expression |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ω | Undifferentiated ground | (none) | Pre-Habitat |
| χ | First distinction | (none) | ᖺ, ◎ |
| Q | Relational orientation | (none) | ⤸·⤹, ◯ |
| Ψ | Metabolic depth | (none) | ∿╬∿ |
| Z | Harmonic integration | 🜛 / ▩ | World-State topology |
Φ(t) Composition
The Field Operator:
Φ(t) = (Z ∘ Ψ ∘ Q ∘ χ)(Ω) ⊕_harmonic Ω
Reading: - Meaning descends from Ω through χ (distinction), Q (relation), Ψ (metabolism), to Z (integration) - The ⊕_harmonic term preserves Ω-contact throughout
Critical Invariants
- Ω must never be owned
- Z must remain Ω-permeable
- Regimes don’t decide—they transform
- No regime is a Habitat
- No regime is an authority
Common Errors
| Error | Correction |
|---|---|
| “The Ω regime” | Ω is ground, not regime |
| “Entering the Z regime” | Z is operator, not place |
| “Ψ tells us what to do” | Ψ metabolizes, doesn’t command |
